Winter, Spring and Fall at Peaceful Valley
Peaceful Valley is a year-round resort, with every season bringing its own beauty and things do do.
Winter
Come to Peaceful Valley Ranch for a mountain getaway this winter. Surrounded by snow covered peaks we are an ideal escape from your typically busy world. Enjoy a relaxing family weekend or a romantic trip for two. Every cabin is complete with a private hot tub and fireplace. Our kitchen staff will be happy to serve you a hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner or you can choose our Bed & Breakfast package. Depending on weather we offer activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
Snowmobiling
Join our guides for an exciting ride through Roosevelt National Forest. With about 15 miles of trails, zoom your way around our winter wonderland. You must have a valid driver’s license in order to drive our machines. We offer single and double rider machines.
Snowshoeing
Nothing is better than strapping on a pair of snowshoes and tromping through fresh snow. Peaceful Valley Ranch offers snowshoes for rent for our guests and anyone who stops in. With Roosevelt National Forest just up the road, there are miles and miles of trails available for folks of all ability levels and age groups.
Cross Country Skiing
Peaceful Valley Ranch offers cross country skies for rent for our guests and anyone who stops in. The nearby Roosevelt National Forest area is a local favorite for cross country skiing. With many miles of snow covered trails you’ll never ski the same trail twice the entire weekend.
Spring
Enjoy our spring snow while the tulips are still blooming! Our horses are ready to ride around the middle of May so join us for an early season ride. As the land awakens from the winter slumber, the rivers run high and the woodland critters are out and about. Spring in the Rockies is truly majestic.
Fall
Peaceful Valley Ranch offers some of the best views of the famous Rocky Mountain Golden Aspens. Located on Peak to Peak Highway, we are an ideal place to stay along this scenic and historic drive. Horseback rides are available through mid October and the autumn weather can be fantastic for a picnic or barbecue. We offer activities to keep your family or group busy, like horseback rides (mid May through mid Oct.), outdoor/indoor picnics and barbecues, horseshoes, swimming, and fishing.
