“We have been married for almost 24 years and we have 4 children, all teenagers. We are a farm family with lots of side businesses and rarely have time off. When the rare occasion occurs that we can take a vacation it is still met with many cell phone calls. When we happened to take a vacation last year we decided to go to the mountains. I have taught a Short term class for Berea College for the last five years entitled “Winter Sports”. The class culminates with a 12 day stay at Peaceful Valley Ranch for the 20 plus students who are enrolled. The ranch has been perfect for the class due to its location within the Roosevelt National Park and close access to all our snowshoeing and cross country trails. The staff at Peaceful Valley are genuinely concerned with our welfare and have worked very closely with me to accommodate all of our needs. All of my students frequently comment on how nice the staff are. The conference facilities are available for us in the evenings for our guest presenters. The free wireless internet service allows our students to conduct research and utilize their email even in our remote setting. I can honestly say if it were not for Peaceful Valley Ranch I would not be able to conduct this course. Jeanne Bohlke (conference coordinator) goes above and beyond her duties to work with us in pricing and to make sure all of our needs are met. The one constant all of our students rave about is the quality of the food. The cabins and hot tubs are an added luxury after a cold and grueling day on the trails. I would highly recommend Peaceful Valley Ranch without any reservation for anyone considering facilities for a conference or group.
