We have been holding our national healthcare leadership institute at Peaceful Valley now for four years. We keep coming back because everything about PV is first class. It’s comfortable and relaxed, the setting is magnificent, the food is excellent, and the customer service is superb: the people who work there are reliable, attentive, talented, and extremely caring to us and our participants. Peaceful Valley has become a second home to us--how lucky can you get?

We have been conducting our annual retreat with resident physicians at Peaceful Valley Ranch for over 20 years. Peaceful Valley has become a legend among the physicians who attend because it provides a chance to get away to a truly beautiful and awe inspiring location. The hospitality, scenery, accommodations, and the friendliness of the staff make for an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience for highly stressed resident physicians who attend the conference. In setting up the retreat each year, I can always count on things running smoothly because of the highly efficient, organized, and dedicated staff.

Peaceful Valley Ranch has provided our students and adults a place to truly get away and connect with God. The location, the staff, and the facilities make for a true retreat from the craziness of our daily lives. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. We look forward to our trip every year, and we are grateful to be able to stay at Peaceful Valley.

This year we held a Work Session with 70 of our technical experts and additional representatives from our major software vendors at the Peaceful Valley Ranch and Conference Center. This was a week-long event that focused around meetings of the whole group and smaller seminars that ran in parallel with each other.
Our group had some special technical needs: every attendee brought their own laptop and connected to the Ranch’s wireless internet system; our meetings all required LCD projectors and special setups such as a wired local-area network; and we videotaped many of the sessions. The Ranch did a great job of meeting these requirements and helping us to connect with local resources when necessary.
We really appreciated that there weren’t a lot of extra costs being added. All of our needs for table and chair setups, coffee, equipment were included in the basic cost. Additional charges for alcohol and a late-night snack bar were much more reasonable than those at hotels in urban centers.
Our group comes from a variety of international cultures and tends to be pretty young and cosmopolitan, but they were quite happy with the food and accommodations. The chef at the Ranch was very accommodating of some unusual requests and our preference for healthy meals. And the various rooms and cabins, hot tubs, fire pit and so on provided lots of places for different sizes of casual interactions.
The Ranch turned out to be a great, if somewhat unusual venue for a technical conference. We didn’t miss the complicated and expensive entertainment that is usually provided at these events. Instead, we had small groups of people, in odd corners of the main lodge, sharing ideas into the late hours early hours. And when that got to be too much, it was easy to slip off for a hike or horseback ride in the gorgeous mountain setting.
